HURRICANE MELISSA DISASTER RELIEF

Dear Fellow Jamaicans and Friends of Jamaica

The High Commission extends heartfelt thanks for your continued generosity in supporting relief efforts for those affected by Hurricane Melissa. Your contributions have been invaluable in bringing comfort and hope to our brothers and sisters in need.

Please be advised that there has been a change in the list of designated drop-off points for donations. A number of centres will temporarily pause their collection activities by Friday 28^th November 2025. We kindly ask that you review the attached revised list of active centres, make contact with the centres before making your donation.

We deeply regret any inconvenience this adjustment may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work with our partners to ensure donations are received and distributed efficiently.

The High Commission remains committed to coordinating this vital effort and will continue to provide updates as needed. We encourage you to share this information widely within your networks.

Important Instructions for Donating Goods:

Only items listed on the official the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) Needs List will be accepted. Please refer to the attached list before preparing your donation.

Do not send items that are not on the ODPEM list. This ensures that all aid received aligns with Jamaica’s immediate recovery needs.

Drop-Off Centres and Times: Kindly deliver your donations to the designated centres listed below, and adhere strictly to the specified dates and times.

List Required: All donations must be accompanied by a detailed list of the items being sent to Jamaica. This documentation is essential to complete official paperwork and to expedite processing and shipment.
